The Eden Project in Cornwall showcases around 100,000 plants from around the world in two giant transparent domes, each recreating different climate conditions. More than one million people have visited this "living theatre of plants and people" each year since its opening in 2001. We at Eden now believe that it is your time to come down.
During the Summer season families are invited to re-awaken the brilliant tradition of den building at the Eden Project. Eden provides all the tools and raw materials and families just need to turn up and get stuck in. Children don’t need guidance learning about risk and danger or on how to build a den – they just do it! Getting the odd bump and bruise is part of the experience. Den building helps to equip and prepare children with knowledge about their natural environment and helps children to make their own judgments on risk and on the impact of their behavior on the environment around them. We want to see Mums and Dads and their kids building Dens together – as it’s also a great way of getting families to connect and bond while having fun and learning.
